Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Eventfirst platform ("Platform"), operated by Eventfirst ("Eventfirst", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Role of Eventfirst

Eventfirst provides a technology platform for event management, networking, and engagement.

For most events:

• The Event Organizer is the Data Controller
• Eventfirst acts as a Data Processor

Eventfirst does not control how Event Organizers or users use data once accessed or shared through the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or legal age in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities under your account

You must not:

• Share accounts
• Impersonate others
• Use false or misleading information

Eventfirst reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

5. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in connection with legitimate event participation.

Prohibited Uses include:

• Misusing or harvesting contact data
• Sending spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempting to access unauthorized systems
• Interfering with platform security or performance
• Uploading harmful or malicious content

6. Networking & Lead Retrieval

The Platform enables users to exchange contact details through features such as badge scanning.

By using these features:

• You consent to sharing your information with other users
• You acknowledge that once shared, Eventfirst has no control over how recipients use your data

Eventfirst is not responsible for misuse of shared contact information or actions of exhibitors, attendees, or third parties.

7. Event Organizer Responsibilities

Event Organizers are solely responsible for:

• Compliance with data protection laws (e.g. PDPA)
• Defining how attendee data is used
• Managing permissions and access controls

Eventfirst is not liable for organizer misuse of data or organizer communications or actions.

8. Artificial Intelligence Features

The Platform may include AI-powered features.

You acknowledge that:

• AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete
• Outputs are provided on an "as-is" basis
• You are responsible for verifying results before use

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Platform, including software, design, and content, are owned by or licensed to Eventfirst.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Platform
• Use Eventfirst branding without permission

Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Eventfirst a limited license to use it for operating the Platform.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party services. Eventfirst is not responsible for their availability, functionality, or data handling practices. Use of such services is at your own risk.

11. Data Protection & Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is collected, used, and shared. By using the Platform, you consent to such processing.

12. International Data Transfers

You acknowledge that data may be processed outside your jurisdiction and different data protection laws may apply. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers.

13. Service Availability

Eventfirst does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify or discontinue features, perform maintenance, or restrict access where necessary.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, your use poses risk to the Platform or users, or if required by law. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Eventfirst makes no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eventfirst shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, business, or revenue
• Actions of Event Organizers or other users
• Misuse of shared data
• AI-generated outputs

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) by you for use of the Platform.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eventfirst from any claims arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of personal data, or your breach of applicable laws.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

19. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be first attempted to be resolved amicably, and failing which, submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

20. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
